Hovering over the tool panel buttons will give short explanations as a tool tip. Below I explain the most useful buttons in more detail.
You can click this button to return to the full heatmap, including all rows and culumns. This is ueful for example if you have selected certain proteins in the volcano plot, and now want to go back to look at all proteins again.
Clustering the heatmap. The button on the left will cluster the rows of the heatmap. Since this is computationally intensive, please use only when a few rows are subselected (eg via selecting them in the volcano plot). The second button will cluster the columns of the heatmap. The last button will return the rows or columns to their original order.
Clicking the + will zoom into the plot, clicking on the - will zoom out again.
Clicking this button will return the heatmap to its original scales. This is useful, for example, after zooming into a certain area of the heatmap.
